James Leonard | Lead Pastor

Since 2015, Liberty Church has been uniting people from Woodbury and the surrounding communities. We value being a multi-generational and multi-nation church and we’re passionate about building a community of people who love and follow Jesus. Each week, we come together to worship, hear Bible-centered teaching, and grow in genuine, life-giving relationships.

Whether you’re a young professional, a college student, a first-time parent, or entering a new season of life, there’s a place for you here.

A Warm Welcome

From the moment you walk in, you’ll be welcomed by genuine people who are truly glad you’re here. Grab a free cup of caribou coffee in the lobby and enjoy a relaxed, no-pressure first Sunday experience.

Engaging worship

We create an atmosphere for the Spirit of God to move, through an encouraging time of worship. A typical worship set includes three to four songs, intentionally designed to help us enter into worship, connect with God, and prepare our hearts for what He wants to do.

A bible based message

Our lead pastor James preaches the Bible in a way that’s clear and practical and full of the hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ. Each week we see lives changed and faith strengthened.

Not what you usually find at your typical church. Our kids love Sundays and we're sure your kids will too! We go all out to make sure the experience is fun, safe, and memorable.

“Liberty church is home! We grow in Jesus together as a family! We feel so blessed to be part of this church.

Our pastor and his wife are truly dedicated servants of God. They are loving, approachable, and deeply caring toward everyone. Our pastor’s preaching is clear, rooted in Scripture, and centered on the gospel. Every message points us back to Christ and encourages us to live out our faith in practical ways. You can truly feel their love for people and their genuine heart for ministry.

This church feels like family, and I’m so grateful to call it home.”
