our Story

The story of Liberty Church

How It Started

Liberty Church began with a God-given vision in the hearts of founding pastors Tory and Elizabeth Farina. In 2015, through prayer and faithful obedience, they sensed God's clear call to plant a spirit-filled church in the Woodbury community.

What started as a small group of committed believers gathering at Woodbury High School has grown into a thriving church family passionate about loving God, serving others, and sharing the hope of the Gospel.

Where We’re Going

Over the years, we’ve seen lives changed, relationships restored, church planters sent out, and missionaries supported as they proclaim the gospel around the world. We’ve come alongside parents as they raise and lead their children, and we’ve equipped believers to live out their faith in both their workplaces and their homes.

And we’re not done yet. The same heart that started Liberty is still at the center of everything we do. We’ll keep uniting, serving, and loving our community as we follow Jesus together.

How We’ve Grown

Liberty Church has grown quickly over the years, moving from Red Rock Elementary School to Lake Middle School, and now to Woodbury Central Park, but the heart has stayed the same. We’re here to love God and serve His people.

While our locations have changed, our passion hasn’t. We’re rooted in God’s Word and propelled by the love of Jesus, committed to helping people know Him and live it out in everyday life.

1 Peter 4:10-11

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.”
